Waxham is a small village located in Norfolk, England. It is a picturesque area of the country, situated on the East Coast of England, and is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the region. The name Waxham is derived from the Saxon word Waeccanhamm, meaning ‘home of the weavers'. This is due to the fact that in the early days, the village was a centre for weaving cloth. It was also an important trading centre for ships coming from the continent. It was in the 18th century that Waxham began to develop into a popular holiday resort. It was here that the first holiday homes were built, and the village soon became a fashionable destination for the upper classes.

The main attraction in Waxham is the beach. It is a two-mile stretch of golden sand, stretching from Waxham to Winterton-on-Sea. This beach is particularly popular with families and is great for sunbathing, swimming, and beachcombing. The beach is also a haven for wildlife, with a wide variety of birds, seals, and other wildlife making it their home.

Inland, the village is surrounded by flat marshes, which are a great place to explore.
