Holme-next-the-Sea is a small village located on the north-east coast of Norfolk, England. It is a coastal parish situated between Hunstanton to the north and Wells-next-the-Sea to the south, and is part of the beautiful North Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The village has a long history which can be traced back to the Iron Age. The original inhabitants were Celts who were followed by the Saxons. Holme was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 and was owned by the Bishops of Norwich. The local St Mary's Church, built in the 18th century, is an iconic building in the village and is a much admired example of Georgian architecture.

The village is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including marsh harriers, barn owls, bitterns, redshanks and avocets. It is also an important site for migratory birds, with many wading birds visiting the area in the autumn and winter months. The nearby Holme Dunes form part of the Holme Bird Observatory, which has been recording the birds of Norfolk since the mid-1970s.

Holme-next-the-Sea is a popular tourist destination, with visitors drawn to its sandy beaches, historic buildings and unspoilt scenery. Holme-next-the-Sea is also famous for its connection to the past. In 1942, the village was the site of a lifeboat tragedy, when 13 local fishermen lost their lives in a storm. The lifeboat station, which is now a museum, is a popular attraction and offers a poignant reminder of the bravery of the men and their families.
